Could you please introduce yourself?
– Hello, my name is Harrison Tool. I am a graduate of the University of Florida and a competitor at BBICC 2016. While at Florida, I studied Finance and I am now working at IBM Watson Health in Boston.
What is your best memory from BBICC 2016?
– My best memory from BBICC was getting to know all of the hosts and competitors. I still have friends that I met while there. Exploring Belgrade and getting a feel for such a historic and incredible city is something that I will never forget.
What did you find most challenging at BBICC 2016?
– The most challenging part of BBICC was how busy and non-stop the competition was. From all of the fun things that we got to do, to the challenging case work, there was almost no time to stop. And that’s a good thing! I was entertained and excited the entire time I was there.
In your opinion, what are the key character traits of a great solver of business problems?
– In my mind, the most important character traits for someone who is solving business problems are to have an open mind and to be able to think creatively. It is important to be able to approach a problem from a position that hasn’t been tried previously and to come up with a solution that is truly innovative. The only way to do this is to work collaboratively with your team and to listen to all ideas with an open mind.
